The west coast has always lacked cool cities, but San Francisco is trying to make up for the loss. It's filled with acceptable artchitecture, the steep hills and winding roads make for some great photography and painting subjects. The people are great when they aren't too pretentious. And if you like food, then I hear this city has lots of creative options.
